Kitchen Brigades Cook-off at Dakota Collegiate

This past week marked a culinary showdown as three schools from across Winnipeg converged at Dakota Collegiate for the Cook-off. Hosted with enthusiasm and flair, the event showcased the immense talent and creativity budding within our student chefs. Participants were tasked with crafting delectable dishes using surprise ingredients, all while under the gaze of three distinguished judges.

The event would not have been possible without the generous contribution of time and expertise from our esteemed panel of judges. Chrissy Troy (), , and Chef Emily Katelyn Butcher () lent their palates and culinary insights, enriching the experience. Their dedication to nurturing culinary excellence in our youth deserves our heartfelt gratitude.

Melanie Davlut, Rayleen Dutka, and Boyun Choi demonstrated exceptional leadership, guiding and inspiring students to explore the realms of gastronomy with courage and imagination. Their unwavering commitment to fostering a love for cooking is commendable.

The Kitchen Brigades Cook-off not only serves as a platform for students to showcase their culinary prowess but also fosters teamwork, creativity, and a spirit of healthy competition. Beyond the thrill of the cook-off itself, participants gained invaluable experience, honing their skills and building lasting memories.

Congratulations to all the participants for their culinary ingenuity and exemplary teamwork.
